Pickets went up at the Ladysmith branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library on Monday.
Ladysmith is the latest branch to be picketed as librarians represented by the B.C. General Employees Union take job action to press for a new collective agreement.
Last week, pickets were up in Nanaimo and Duncan.
The union has been without a contract since December 2020. Wages are a key stumbling block.
The library system runs from Sooke to Sidney and north to Port Hardy, coastal B.C. and Haida Gwaii.
