One of the candidates for mayor of Nanaimo has dropped out of the race.
Eike Michaela Jordan, who runs a health clinic, has decided against running.
The deadline to drop out of the municipal race is 4 p.m. today.
That leaves three candidates competing for the mayor’s job in Nanaimo: Ramon Farmere, who works as a marketing and technology clerk, Don Hubbard, former chairman of the board of Island Health, and Leonard Krog, the NDP MLA for Nanaimo. Current Mayor Bill McKay is not running again.
