Nanaimo man charged with second-degree murder in father’s death

A 27-year-old Nanaimo man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his father. Aaron Roger Harvey has been remanded in custody.

A 27-year-old Nanaimo man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his father.

Aaron Roger Harvey has been remanded in custody. The body of his father, 69-year-old Roger Harvey, was discovered early Wednesday night in the Nanaimo apartment the pair had shared for a number of years.

Nanaimo RCMP said Roger Harvey sustained injuries but the exact cause of his death is not yet known. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
