A motorcyclist suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries Monday afternoon after colliding with a car in the Douglas Street-Finlayson Road intersection.
Initial witness reports indicated that both vehicles were proceeding on yellow lights about 3:30 p.m., said Victoria police Const. Mike Russell.
The car was reportedly travelling south and was turning left, from Douglas onto Finlayson, while the motorcycle was heading north through the intersection.
Witnesses said the motorcyclist was thrown several metres.
The intersection was closed for about an hour.
