Saanich police are searching for a woman who last spoke to her mother on the phone a week ago.
Police said it is highly unusual for 30-year-old Christine Pash, who has a young son, not to have returned home and her family is very worried.
It is believed she was at or near a beach when she talked to her mother.
Pash is described as white, five-foot-10 and about 250 pounds with long, black hair. She has a Gemini symbol tattooed on her neck and is thought to have pink, manicured fingernails.
She was last seen wearing a floral-pattern skirt with shorts underneath.
