Man with golf club threatens staff at Victoria business

Victoria police have released a picture of a suspect after employees at a business were threatened by a man wielding a golf club. Police were called to a business in the 600-block of Queens Avenue, between Government and Douglas streets, about 11 a.

Victoria police have released a picture of a suspect after employees at a business were threatened by a man wielding a golf club.

Police were called to a business in the 600-block of Queens Avenue, between Government and Douglas streets, about 11 a.m. Aug. 19.

The incident began when a different man had a dispute with staff members. He left the area, only to return with another man carrying a golf club and uttering threats.

No one was injured.

The man who made threats is described as white, 20 to 30 years old and about five-foot-eight with short dark hair. He wore sunglasses and was shirtless, and had red or burgundy pants.
