A 41-year-old man was arrested on drug charges and for possession of stolen property early Thursday when West Shore RCMP responded to a report that someone was sleeping in a Toyota truck parked on Glenairlie Drive in View Royal.

Officers attended to check on the person’s well-being and determined the truck had been reported stolen from Duncan.

The man was arrested for possession of stolen property over $5,000 in relation to the truck and for possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking.

He was released on an undertaking and will be appearing in court.
