Police responding to reports of a man chasing two Shelbourne Street liquor store employees with a knife Thursday morning used a police dog to locate a man in nearby bushes, and arrested him.
A discarded knife was located.
The incident began when staff asked the man to leave just after the liquor store in the 3200-block of Shelbourne Street opened at 9 a.m., Saanich police said. The man became agitated and started assaulting an employee.
