Vancouver Island’s top doctor will be taking your questions on the COVID-19 pandemic in a virtual town hall tonight.

Vancouver Island Health Authority’s chief medical health officer Dr. Richard Stanwick, MLAs Mitzi Dean and Sonia Furstenau and Island Health CEO Kathy MacNeil will take questions on the virus that has killed 86 people in the province, three on the Island, and sickened 1,699 to date.

The province says local hosts will answer questions about "region or community responses and future recovery."

The town hall is scheduled from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

Questions can be submitted before and during the townhall here.

Similar town halls have been held this week by Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health.

Tonight’s town hall is followed by another tomorrow night held by Northern Health featuring MLAs Doug Donaldson and Mike Bernier and health officer Dr. Raina Fumerton.

On Thursday, a final town hall will be held by Interior Health with MLAs Katrine Conroy and Norm Letnick and health officer Dr. Sue Pollock.

All town halls are 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.
