More than 700 doses of suspected fentanyl and 2,490 doses of suspected methamphetamine were seized, along with weapons, by West Shore RCMP during a recent search of a residence in the 600-block of Langford’s Fairway Drive.
Also found in the July 8 search were about 160 doses of suspected cocaine, a large amount of what are believed to be pharmaceutical drugs, a shotgun, airsoft guns, ammunition and cash.
A 32-year-old Langford man was arrested. He has been released from custody and is due to appear in court in late October.
“The West Shore RCMP make it a priority to target those responsible for fentanyl and illegal drugs in our communities,” said Const. Steve Marcil of West Shore RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit. “There is a nexus between the drug trade and gun violence and we are always working hard to get both off the streets to keep our communities safe.”
