A lane closure on Highway 4 west of Port Alberni is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.
The Ministry of Transportation said the closure will be in effect 13 kilometres from Port Alberni between Bingo Bay and Kimola Road.
“The highway will be partially closed to allow access for special equipment required to remove the rockfall debris that fell into the ditch on Monday,” the ministry said in a statement.
The work is unrelated to previous closures of Highway 4 in the area of the Cameron Bluffs.
Motorists can expect minor delays and single-lane alternating traffic.
