A man with convictions for sexual assault who poses a “significant risk” to women is planning to live in the Campbell River area, according to the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.
B.C. Corrections issued a public notification on Wednesday about Tyson Jerome Andrew, calling him a “high risk sex offender.”
The notification says Andrew has a lengthy criminal history and will be closely monitored by authorities.
The 31-year-old is subject to 11 court-ordered conditions for his release, including not to consume alcohol or drugs and not to enter into any close or intimate relationships until a probation officer is informed.
He must also adhere to a curfew between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for the next year.
Andrew, who is five-foot-eight and 189 pounds, is described as Indigenous with black hair and brown eyes, .
The ministry asks anyone who observes Andrew violating his conditions to call their local police agency.
