A helicopter landing in the area of CFB Esquimalt’s Work Point property will produce some noise and affect traffic on Friday afternoon.

A Royal Canadian Air Force CH-148 Cyclone will be landing about 12:30 p.m. as part of a demonstration for the Royal Canadian Navy’s Raven Program for Indigenous youth.

Residents of Victoria West and Esquimalt and boaters around McLoughlin Point and the Victoria Harbour entrance can expect to hear the activity, which should not last more than three hours.

Contractors, civilian employees and military personnel heading to the property can expect road closures and loss of parking.
