Girl, 14, grabbed by man in Esquimalt

Victoria police are looking for a man in his 20s or early 30s who allegedly grabbed a 14-year-old girl in Esquimalt on Thursday. The girl was walking to a friend's house at 5: 20 p.m. when a male pedestrian yelled at her.

The girl was walking to a friend's house at 5: 20 p.m. when a male pedestrian yelled at her. He approached her from behind and put his arms around her, said Const. Mike Russell of Victoria police.

The girl was able to escape. She told investigators the man was holding a beer and seemed to be intoxicated.

The suspect is described as a white male, about six feet tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He had stubble on his face, neck-length brown hair and wore a baggy black sweater.
