A fire damaged four small buildings early Thursday at the Courtenay campus of North Island College.
The Courtenay Fire Department responded about 3 a.m. and found the fire in an area known as the Village portables.
A classroom and three other buildings were closed Thursday due to fire damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
“We are grateful that there have been no reports of injuries,” said Colin Fowler, North Island College vice-president of finance and college services. “We want to thank the Courtenay Fire Department for their quick response, which ensured the fire was contained to the Village.
