Fentanyl gummy bears and dinosaurs were among the more than two kilograms of fentanyl and other drugs seized by Campbell River RCMP after a search warrant was executed at a residence on Nursery Road.

More than 3,500 Dilaudid pills — including evidence that the pills had been obtained through safe-supply prescriptions — were also found in the Feb. 21 search, along with more than a kilogram of cocaine and a similar amount of methamphetamine.

Police located more than $30,000 in cash, as well, along with a “significant quantity” of GHB and several other types of prescription pills.

A 2022 Dodge Ram and a 1999 Jeep Cherokee were both seized as property related to crime, while “extensive documentation” pointed to a well-organized drug operation.

A Campbell River woman in her 50s was arrested and released with a May court date.

Drug-trafficking charges will be recommended against her and three other people.

“This investigation and sizeable drug seizure is an excellent example of the ongoing efforts of our officers to hold the criminal elements of the drug trade accountable for their illegal activities in our community,” said Insp. Jeff Preston.
