One person has died and another is in hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash Tuesday on Cortes Island.
Quadra Island RCMP said the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene after officers responded to a the crash about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The passenger was in stable condition on Thursday, said a statment from Const. Rebekah Draht, media relations officers for Quadra Island RCMP
Speed is believed to have been a factor in the incident, the statement said.
The investigation is ongoing.
