Traffic was delayed on the Malahat as West Shore RCMP investigated a two-vehicle crash near Finlayson Arm Road.
Police say the collision has been cleared and traffic isreturning to normal.
The highway was down to a single lane with alternating traffic, causing congestion and delays in the area of Goldstream Provincial Park.
It's the second day in a row that drivers have faced delays on the busy Trans-Canada Highway through the West Shore.
On Tuesday afternoon, traffic came to a standstill about 4 p.m. after a multi-vehicle incident in Langford. The road was reopened by 4:30 p.m.
