Cowichan Secondary School went into “hold-and-secure” mode about 11 a.m. Friday as police dealt with the possibility of a pellet gun in the area.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP conducted a search and the school was back to normal after about 30 minutes.
The incident was still under police investigation through the early afternoon.
A hold-and-secure is a safety precaution where exterior doors are locked while school activity continues inside.
