Eagle View Elementary was placed in hold-and-secure mode late Wednesday morning after a cougar sighting in the area.
It was lifted by the Greater Victoria School District by about 12:30 p.m.
During a hold and secure, a school continues with normal activities with its exterior doors locked.
Eagle View Elementary is on Talcott Road, near Victoria General Hospital and the intersection of Burnside Road West and Watkiss Way.
