A man was found dead Monday evening by Port Alberni RCMP after they responded to a report of a minor single-vehicle incident on Highway 4, but the death is not believed to be related to the crash.
Police received a report about 6:30 p.m. about a crash near the Taylor River rest area about 37 kilometres west of Port Alberni.
The driver was uninjured but a man inside the vehicle was dead.
Both police and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating, and next of kin is being notified.
