B.C. Transit has reached a tentative labour agreement with the 213 administrative employees in the Victoria Regional Transit System.

The employees are represented by the Movement of United Professionals (MoveUP) Local 378.

No details of the tentative deal will be released until it has been ratified.

The current agreement between B.C. Transit and MoveUP Local 378 expired March 31, 2022.

The progress made comes on the heels of B.C. Transit ratifying a three-year deal last week with Unifor Local 333, which represents 680 drivers and maintenance workers in the Victoria area.

That deal runs from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2025.

It includes a flat-rate wage lift of 25 cents an hour and a 3.24 per cent increase in the first year, a minimum increase of 5.50 per cent and a maximum of 6.75 per cent in the second year (subject to a memorandum of agreement for a cost-of-living adjustment) and a two to three per cent increase (also subject to a cost-of-living adjustment) in the third year.
