Jeff Buziak took to the streets for the 12th annual Walk for Justice in memory of his daughter Lindsay on Wednesday, walking from Saanich Municipal Hall to the legislature.

Lindsay Buziak, a 24-year-old real estate agent, was fatally stabbed on Feb. 2, 2008, after being lured to a supposed showing of an upscale property at 1702 De Sousa Pl. in the Gordon Head area of Saanich.

The case remains unsolved.

“This is the 12th consecutive year that I’ve led this memorial walk seeking overdue justice for Lindsay,” Jeff Buziak said in a statement. “Who does this? Well, grief-stricken family members who have not allowed their lives to be totally ruined by such a devastating loss, that’s who.”

Buziak, who has been living in Calgary, returns to the capital region each year for the walk. He has been highly critical of the way police have handled the case and said he is in the process of moving back to Saanich so he can be closer to investigators.

“I would like this year to to be the year everyone steps it up,” he said. “This is the year for true leadership. This is the year for real accountability. This is the year for arrests to be made and charges laid for the savage murder of my daughter Lindsay Buziak.”

Saanich police continue to investigate. Anyone with information on Lindsay Buziak’s killing is asked to contact the department’s information line at 250-475-4356 or 1-888-980-1919.
