Broadmead Care is a non-profit organization that provides housing, social and health services for vulnerable adult populations in Greater Victoria. They serve seniors, veterans and people with disabilities who require assistance to live their lives as fully and meaningfully as possible.

Broadmead Care seeks Appointment Companions to accompany (normally by HandyDART) an adult living in residential care to and from their medical appointments, providing companionship and reassurance, and ensuring the resident reaches their appointment safely and on time. Tour de Rock Media Relations Volunteer: Support the Tour de Rock team by designing and preparing posters, tickets and event material. Provide social media support, manage inventory, create a weekly event calendar and update the website. The position runs from June to October, 15 hours a week. Event volunteers: Oaklands Community Association is recruiting volunteers for the Oaklands Sunset Market. Shifts are 2-4 hours long, from 1 to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays during summer, beginning June 22. Tasks include setup, take-down, information table and vendor load-in support, among others. Be a part of an amazing community event and receive $5 in Market Bucks for each shift. Exhibition Installation and Fair Support Volunteers: Open Space Arts Society seeks volunteers to help with a Natural Science Exhibition and DIY Life: Art + Science + Ecology Fair from June 11-25. You will help with aspects of the project that deals with art, science and ecology, and will gain hands on experience with installation, preparation and visitor experience. Senior care volunteers: Baptist Housing provides comfortable homes and exceptional care to seniors. They are looking for volunteers to serve at The Heights at Mt. View Residence at 3814 Carey Rd. Volunteer opportunities include: greeters, community hosts, resident companions, activity support volunteers, spiritual care volunteers and more. Event volunteers: The First Open Heart Society is looking for helpers for their annual Heart Walk and Silent Auction on Sunday, June 5, at Maria Montessori Academy, 1841 Fairburn Dr. They need help with registration, placing markers along the routes, handing out bottled water and in the kitchen.
