1UP: Victoria Single Parent Resource Centre has offered a wide selection of programs and free services to single parents in a relaxed, home-like setting since 1978. Custodial and non-custodial parents alike can find support to meet their individual needs. One such program is the MOMentum Series: Moms and Mentors, which matches a mature, life-experienced female mentor with a single mom. Mentors chosen for the program are screened and matched with a single mom, sharing two hours of their time each week to talk and listen. All moms, mentors and children meet together one Saturday morning per month, and mentors also meet monthly for ongoing training and support. A year commitment is required. If this sounds like a great fit for you, please call 250-385-1114.
