Coho adds sailings for Crabfest

Crabfest features a celebration of the Olympic Peninsula's culinary bounty and maritime history for the whole family to enjoy. Crabfest is ranked as one of the best seafood festivals in the United States and was named one of Coastal Living magazine's Top Ten Fabulous Fall Festivals on the Coast.

To make it easier to get to Crabfest, the MV Coho has added extra sailings with three departures a day from Victoria at 10: 30 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7: 30 p.m. and returns from Port Angeles at 8: 20 a.m., 12: 45 p.m., and 5: 15 p.m.

Black Ball Ferry Line is also offering special packages to help you save money while enjoying all that Crabfest has to offer.

All packages include Crab Feed dinner vouchers to indulge in the best of Crabfest's culinary delights. Walk on for a delicious day trip for $55 US per person or make it an overnight trip and stay at the Red Lion Hotel in a standard room for only $155 per-person US. For those wanting to explore further drive-on overnight packages are available at The Olympic Lodge for only $167 US per person.

Festival venues are located along the scenic Port Angeles waterfront, an easy walk from the Black Ball Ferry Line terminal. Events include cooking demonstrations, the "grab-a-crab" derby, more than 60 local arts and crafts booths, family activities, environmental education programs, and great live music on the Festival stage.

The highlight of Crabfest is an old-fashioned crab feed complete with large kettles of fresh local Dungeness crab, organic sweet corn and coleslaw. Chefs from some of the Olympic Peninsula's finest restaurants will also serve up local seafood delicacies.
