Nothing says Christmas like an improvised variation on dialogue and scenes from Quentin Tarantino movies.
The casts of Pick of the Fringe winners An Improvised Quentin Tarantino and Grim will be among those toasting the holiday season Sunday during Merry and Bright, Intrepid Theatre’s annual fundraiser and auction with a new look and venue this year.
Intrepid has moved from the Superior in James Bay to the Atrium downtown for the event that takes place from 6 to 9 p.m.
Live entertainment and strolling Fringe performers, a live and silent auction, catering by Zambri’s and tastings from Phillips Brewing Co. and Merridale Cidery are all part of the action at the holiday event that is raising funds for the company’s festivals, programming and its venues at the Fringe and Uno Festivals, and its downtown theatre, the Metro.
Dozens of other local sponsors — including Jawl Properties, Atomic Vaudeville, Bolen Books, Capital Iron, Victoria Gin, Dance Victoria and Ballet Victoria — have stepped up for what promises to be a seasonal sensation judging by past events.
Tickets, $40, include cocktail catering, a complimentary tasting hour and entertainment.
