On playgrounds and in rec centres, museums, galleries and places of worship, families gathered Monday to enjoy a day dedicated to them. This year the B.C. government partnered with the B.C. Recreation and Parks Association and the B.C. Museums Association to fund free virtual and in-person activities across the province during the long weekend. Long lineups at some venues were matched by the patience, creativity and energy of participants.
