Watch or join a flotilla of kayaks off Oak Bay on Sunday as paddlers of all levels take part in Kayak for a Cure, a fundraiser for InspireHealth and integrative cancer care in B.C.

The event is an eight-kilometre scenic paddle from Willows Beach in Oak Bay to Gyro Beach in Cadboro Bay, and back. It will be led by certified guides.

Kayak for a Cure was founded seven years ago in Vancouver and now organizes five events across North America.

The charity has raised more than $300,000 for cancer research and prevention. Watch the paddlers set out at 9 a.m. from Willows Beach.

They will reach Gyro Park between 10: 30 and 11 a.m. and start to arrive back at Willows Beach by noon. For more info, go to inspirehealth.ca/ kayak-for-a-cure.
