There is no need to stay indoors to practise yoga in this beautiful weather.
While Bikram yoga is usually practised in a heated room, now that summer is finally here, Bikram Yoga Saanich is leading a 60- to 90-minute Yoga in the Park outdoor class Sunday at Beacon Hill Park.
The classes are aimed at those curious or new to yoga. Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat or towel, water and sunscreen. Instructors will take participants through some of the 26 stretching postures that define this form of yoga.
The session is by donation and starts at 11 a.m. on the grass lawn across from the petting zoo in Beacon Hill Park. Those who can't make it this Sunday can take the class on Aug. 26.
