Want to get booksmacked? Now's your chance.
Five librarians will "speed review" as many books and DVD film titles as they can in one hour on Monday night at the Belfry Theatre. The free event, Booksmacked!, marks the beginning of Canadian Library Month in Victoria.
The audience is invited to participate by sharing a favourite book or DVD recommendations.
The event runs 7-8 p.m. Monday. A cash bar is available. More info at gvpl.ca.
