International mosaic artist Martin Cheeks will be in Victoria this weekend to lead a two-day hands-on workshop.
The course is an opportunity for those who are new to smalti, millefiori or glass fusions.
Experienced participants will expand their skills and develop their personal style.
The event is jointly hosted by Mosaic the City, Studio Twelve-Nineteen and Hands On Pottery.
Meet the artist from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at Studio Twelve-Nineteen, 1219 Hillside Ave. Entrance is by donation ($5 is suggested).
The two-day workshop runs 10 a.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at Hands On Pottery in Quadra Village.
The workshop costs $393. The fee includes most supplies. Extra materials will be on hand at an additional cost.
