Dickens Fair a community tradition in James Bay

Saturday's Dickens Fair in James Bay is one of the oldest fairs in Victoria. Organizers tout their fair as handmade, homemade and homegrown. The fair has been an annual community tradition since the 1970s.

Vendors at the fair will offer juried art and craft works. Affordable artisan and craft works will also be available, along with seasonal greenery, Christmas baking and artisan foods.

The Community Café will be open, offering snacks and light meals.

Live entertainment throughout the afternoon includes a school choir, children's music, vocalists and hip-hop dancers.

Admission is by donation, with proceeds going to the James Bay Market Society.
