The fall craft-fair season is in full swing. This weekend, craft fans have two fairs to choose from:
? Sooke Prestige Craft Fair:
Meet the artisans, view the finest of hand-crafted holiday pieces created by 40 talented artists and crafters. Admission is $4 for adults, free for children under 12 accompanied by an adult. Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Prestige Oceanfront Resort and Convention Centre. For more information, go to earthlygoods.ca.
? Creative Craft Fair: This
35-year-old fair at Pearkes Recreation Centre boasts that it is one of Vancouver Island's largest, with more than 125 professional exhibitors from all over the province.
Items on offer include specialty foods, stained glass, jew-elry, woodworking, fine art, photography, clothing, handmade soaps and high-quality imports. There are draw prizes and free live demonstrations.
Admission is $5.50. The fair runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. Sunday at 3100 Tillicum Rd. in Saanich.
