Cenotaph on Legislature Grounds, 10:15 a.m., ceremony at the cenotaph followed by a reception at the Legion with lunch and entertainment. Tel. 250-384-7814

Annual Remembrance Day Ceremony, 11 a.m. at Cenotaph in front of the Saanich Municipal Hall, 770 Vernon Ave. Refreshments to follow.

Parade and ceremony, Esquimalt Road, 10:40 a.m. Parade from Legion parking lot to Cenotaph, 10:40 a.m. with ceremony at Cenotaph 10:45 a.m.; 250-389-7635 or [email protected]

Parade and ceremony in Sidney, Mary Winspear Centre, 9-11 a.m., before the parade. Come inside and reflect this  Remembrance Day with a warm drink and sweet; 10:45 a.m., Town Hall, parade begins at Mary Winspear Centre and marches to the War Memorial on the front lawn of the Town Hall for service and wreath laying.

Lest We Forget: Remembrance Commemorations at the Royal BC Museum with public displays by veterans and community groups, curatorial talks and Royal BC Museum collections. Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Clifford Carl Hall, Royal BC Museum. Free.

Veterans' Cemetery Remembrance Tour 2 p.m. John Azar conducts his annual tour to Veterans graves, with his facinating stories of the people and their times, from the Crimean War to the present day. Meet at God's Acre Veterans' Cemetery, access off Colville Road near the Base Hospital. Cost: $2/$5. Details at oldcem.bc.ca or tel. 250-598-8870.

Via Choralis chamber choir annual Remembrance Day concert, 3 p.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 10030 3rd St., Sidney. Tickets: $15/ $8 at Tanner’s Books, from choir members and at the door.

Sound the Trumpet, music for choir and brass by Henry Purcell, along with a selection of British part-songs and traditional Remembrance Day observances, 2-4 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral, 930 Burdett Ave. Tickets: $25/$22/$10, veterans free. Details at capriccio.ca

Maritime Museum of BC Salty Sundays presents Lest We Forget, a Remembrance Day family program with children’s activities and a guest speaker, 1-3 p.m. By donation. Tel. 250-385-4222 ext. 112.
