Capital Regional District staff say the land owned by the CRD at Macaulay Point is not large enough to support a wastewater treatment plant.
Under the recommended two-plant configuration, a pump station would remain at this location, servicing a McLoughlin Point treatment facility.
The second treatment plant would be built at Clover Point.
