The 36th annual tour promotes springtime in Victoria and features 10 outstanding gardens where visitors can wander while enjoying performances by Victoria Conservatory of Music students, teachers and special artists.

“The range of the garden experience, as well as the commitment of our committee and volunteers this year is inspiring,” said Jane Butler McGregor, CEO of the Victoria Conservatory of Music.

She noted the private properties will include water features, rock gardens, a putting green, four-season plantings and an extravaganza of greenery and floral creativity.

Once again, there will be a plant sale and a silent auction for decorative planters that have been created by some of the areas most notable nurseries. An award will be given for the most outstanding planter, as voted on over the weekend by those attending the tour.

Money raised from the tour helps the VCM maintain its outstanding music and outreach programs, and special musical events that enrich community life in Victoria.

Note to readers: This is a corrected version of this story. This year’s tour does not include a garden with a small railway setup.
