Road closures for Sunday's TC 10K events

Several streets in downtown Victoria, James Bay and Fairfield will be closed this weekend for the TC10K and Thrifty Foods Family Run.

Several Victoria streets will be closed this weekend for the Times Colonist 10K and Thrifty Foods Family Run.

Belleville Street between Government and Menzies streets will be closed from 2 a.m. Saturday to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

All other road closures take effect on Sunday:

• Menzies from Quebec to Belleville — 3 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Belleville from Oswego to Menzies — 4:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Government from Superior to Humboldt — 5 to 9 a.m.

• Wharf from Humboldt to Yates — 7:30 to 9:10 a.m.

• Yates from Wharf to Cook — 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

• Cook from Yates to Collinson — 7:30 to 9:40 a.m.

• Richardson from Cook to Moss — 7:30 to 9:50 a.m.

• Moss from Richardson to May — 7:30 to 10 a.m.

• May from Moss to Memorial — 7:30 to 10:05 a.m.

• Memorial from May to Dallas — 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

• Dallas from Memorial to Cook — 7:30 to 10:45 a.m.

• Dallas from Cook to Douglas — 7:30 to 10:45 a.m.

• Dallas from Douglas to Oswego — 7:30 a.m. to noon

• Quebec from Menzies to Oswego — 10:55 to 11:15 a.m.

• Oswego from Quebec to Kinston — 10:55 to 11:15 a.m.

• Kingston from Oswego to Montreal — 10:55 to 11:45 a.m.

All intersections along the race route will also be closed. Roads inside the race route will remain open but motorists will have to cross with the direction of the police.

There will be no on-street parking on the race route Sunday from 4 to 11 a.m. All cars parked on the race route during this time will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Victoria police and Island Traffic Control will be controlling traffic.
