B.C.-wide Amber Alert issued for Surrey girl and boy

If you see them, do not approach and call 911.

Update: The two children involved in the Amber Alert issued July 19 have been located safe. Their names have been removed from this story to protect their privacy. Read the full update here.

An Amber Alert has been issued for two children whose last known location was Kelowna.

Surrey RCMP have activated the alert after they were reported missing on July 18.

Their father contacted police after the children were not returned by their mother after a vacation to the Okanagan city. The trio's last known location was Krafty Kitchen and Bar in Kelowna on June 30.

“Despite investigative efforts to date, police have not been able to locate them,” says Cpl. Vanessa Munn with the Surrey RCMP, adding the children's father has primary custody.

“They have been out of contact,” says Munn. “We do believe the children are at risk.”

Police have been advised they were to be camping in the Kelowna area but the booking was cancelled. The location of the campsite is not being shared with the public.

“Surrey RCMP determined that this case met the criteria for an Amber Alert,” added Munn.

Anyone who sees them is asked to not approach and call 911 immediately.
