The latest work from Sooke author Jim Bottomley has been nominated at the annual Arthur Ellis Awards for excellence in Canadian crime-writing.

Hypnotizing Lions, about an escape at a psychiatric hospital, is a finalist for the Arthur Ellis Award, which recognizes the best unpublished manuscript. The award, from the Crime Writers of Canada, will be presented at a gala in Toronto on May 23.
