The Victoria International Wine Festival will move into a new home for its upcoming edition, which is set for Sept. 18-24 at the Car Shop at Bayview Place.

Dinners, tastings, and seminars are being offered, with over 400 wines from 13 countries on display during the week-long Esquimalt event. Festival director David Bain of Surge Business Productions said the food and beverage showcase is geared to amateur enthusiasts and professionals alike.

“We want people to be able to gain knowledge about new wines in a format that isn’t intimidating,” he said. “We then match this experience with another, where wines selected by a panel of sommeliers will impress even the most experienced wine enthusiast.”

Washington State Wines will be of particular interest at the festival, with a dedicated section highlight three generations of wines from the region.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday at 9 a.m. through eventbrite.ca.
