Lake Cowichan’s Sunfest country music festival announced its headliners Wednesday, more than eight months before the four-day festival will open its doors on B.C. Day long weekend.
U.S. chart-toppers Lee Brice and Cole Swindell will join four-time Grammy Award winner Keith Urban, who organizers announced this summer would headline the 2024 event, Aug. 1-4 at Laketown Ranch Music & Recreation Park.
Washboard Union, Steven Lee Olsen, Josh Ross, and The Reklaws were also announced Wednesday. More performers appearing at the province’s largest country music festival will be announced in the coming months, according to organizers Wideglide Entertainment.
The festival heads into its upcoming edition with high expectations, having set an attendance high in 2023. Lainey Wilson, Lonestar, Billy Currington and Blake Shelton drew record numbers to the festival, with more than 15,000 fans turning up for Shelton’s set this summer.
