Ridley Scott and his production company Scott Free London will partner with Orchard Media and Focus Features International on six low-budget feature films.
Scott, who is best known for his bleak futuristic fables like Alien and Blade Runner, will executive produce the movies, which will be focused primarily on horror, thriller and science fiction. Cameras will roll on the films over the next three years.
The films will be produced in association with Northern Ireland Screen and will shoot primarily in the country with local crew, cast, services and facilities. the partners said this week.
