Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys will return to Victoria on Oct. 14 for a concert at the McPherson Playhouse.

The show is part of Carter’s Who I Am Tour, his first trek as a solo artist in seven years. The upcoming Vancouver Island appearance, one of only a handful of Canadian dates by the 44-year old singer, is the Florida native’s first show Victoria in close to a decade.

He performed with his Backstreet Boys bandmates at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in 2008, and gave a solo concert at Victoria’s Capital Ballroom in 2016. Backstreet Boys are one of the most popular U.S. acts in history, with more than 100 million albums sold worldwide since 1993. The band from Florida is considered the top boy band of all time, and continues to perform today.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through the Royal McPherson box office (250-386-6121). They are also available at rmts.bc.ca or livenation.com.
