Classic rock fans won’t want to miss Roger Hodgson of Supertramp when he makes his triumphant return to Victoria for two performances at the Royal Theatre this November.

The Nov. 25-26 concerts celebrate the 40th anniversary of Supertramp’s Breakfast in America album, which featured The Logical Song, Goodbye Stranger and Take the Long Way Home — three of the biggest hits of Hodgson’s career.

Hodgson, who fronted Supertramp from 1969 until 1983, no longer records, but continues to perform. His pair of shows at the Royal Theatre in 2016 — his first in the city after an 18-year gap — drew a rapturous reception from fans and critics, while his 2018 tour was praised by Rolling Stone magazine.

Supertramp, with longtime singer Rick Davies handling vocals, performed at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in 2011, but no longer tours due to Davies’ ongoing battle with cancer.

Tickets for Hodgson’s concerts are on sale now for $93.25 and $113.75. Tickets are available from the Royal Theatre box office (250-386-6121) or from rmts.bc.ca. Both dates are expected to sell out.
