Victoria-raised Atom Egoyan has been signed to direct a Hollywood feature entitled Chloe, Screen Daily.Com reported yesterday.
The film, slated to shoot in Toronto in February, will star Julianne Moore, Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia!) and Liam Neeson, according to an unconfirmed report on the showbiz publication's website.
The screenplay is credited to Erin Cressida Wilson (Secretary). Chloe is to be produced through Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock's Montecito Picture Company, the story said.
"I'm not in a position to speak about it at this time," said the director, reached in Toronto yesterday afternoon. "There will be some exciting news that I would like to share as soon as I can."
Egoyan's latest feature, Adoration, was chosen as one of the Toronto International Film Festival's top 10 films of 2008. -- Michael D. Reid
