The interior of Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre will be transformed into an insect paradise when Cirque du Soleil’s OVO travels to Victoria for seven high-energy performances June 16-19.

OVO (“egg” in Portuguese) is comprised of 100 performers from 25 countries. A circus-style panorama about a day in the life of insects, OVO is said to feature the most elaborate high-wire “flying” of any Cirque du Soleil production in history. OVO opened in Montreal in 2009 and has since been seen by seven million people in 155 cities in 26 countries, according to the Quebec-based company.

Tickets are on-sale now through cirqueclub.com, the company’s free membership program and subscription service. Tickets for the general public go on sale April 19 through cirquedusoleil.com/ovo.
