Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre’s upcoming season will stretch well beyond traditional theatre with a mixture of online and in-person programming from its home base at the Roxy Theatre on Quadra Street.

The company’s revamped season gets underway Oct. 18 with the Salon Music Series, a string of Sunday afternoon live concerts from Oct. 18 through Nov. 22 by everyone from roots favourite Oliver Swain to operatic tenor Benjamin Butterfield.

Oct. 22, the Great Debate Series will debut. The one-night-only events will be presented as live recreations of classic debates featuring the likes of William F. Buckley, Christopher Hitchens and Camille Paglia, among others.

The season will also include traditonal favourites, including an in-progress reading of Dracula (artistic director Brian Richmond’s upcoming adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic novel) for the Halloween season Oct. 29-31, and A Christmas Carol, starring Stratford Festival favourite Sanjay Talwar, Dec. 1-20.

In-person and online tickets are available for all events. For more information, contact the theatre at 250-382-3370.
