Pender Harbour & Egmont: Health Centre is open

What a difference a week makes! We are fortunate to be living in the most beautiful coastal paradise for many reasons and now in addition a place to practice the guidelines recommended by Health authorities.

What a difference a week makes! We are fortunate to be living in the most beautiful coastal paradise for many reasons and now in addition a place to practice the guidelines recommended by Health authorities. The community has responded in a timely, efficient and caring way to flatten the curve of the virus. In the recent days businesses have found ways to still provide their delicious food with new offerings of delivery and take out.

Events, activities and facilities have been cancelled or closed. One to make note of is the cancellation of our very popular April Tools Boat Building event, April 25.

The Pender Harbour Health Centre is open and offering services. Please call 604-883-2764 if you have questions. Call if you have symptoms or are self-isolating and need a hand with groceries, supplies. Volunteers are ready to help with errands. Thank you to those self-isolating. There is signage on the door of the Health Centre to be read before entering. Those folks in good health are welcome to come and pick up info handouts including the Self Assessment Tool for COVID 19. Visit the Pender Harbour Health Centre Facebook page.

Huge heartfelt thanks to all those folks going the distance to battle this pandemic and those on the retail and service frontlines who carry on so graciously.

To quote Dr. Henry: “Be kind, be calm, be safe.”
