The Canadian Bureau for International Education has named UVic's Gus-tavson School of Business the winner of the outstanding program award for its Master of Global Business program.

The one-year program, offered since 2010, provides students the opportunity to work and live on three continents as they learn international business practices, develop leadership skills and learn at least one new language.

"It is a great honour to have this program recognized for what it uniquely offers," said director Ignace Ng. "The success of this program is only possible because of the support of the faculty, the excellent relationship developed with the partner institutions and the commitment of the staff to the program."

This year's students will soon be leaving for Rouen, France, and Seoul, South Korea, or Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and Linz, Austria. The program boasts that along with global knowledge and real-world experience, students leave with the kind of confidence that allows them to handle the complexity of today's global business environment.
